These Terms govern your use of pricekenya.co.ke ("the site"). By using the site or subscribing to a price alert you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site does
PriceKenya aggregates publicly-listed prices from third-party Kenyan merchants (including Jumia, Kilimall, Naivas, Phone Place Kenya, Phones Store Kenya, Quickmart, Carrefour Kenya and Xiaomi Kenya, among others) to help you compare offers before buying. We show you prices, price history, and links out to the merchant to complete a purchase.
2. Accuracy of prices
Prices on the site are collected by automated scraping and refreshed periodically. They may be out of date, incorrect, or reflect stock that has since sold out. Always verify the current price directly on the merchant's website before purchasing. We do not guarantee any price shown here will be honoured by the merchant.
3. Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and complete a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the merchant, at no additional cost to you. We disclose this in the interest of transparency. Affiliate relationships never influence the ranking of offers on this site — the cheapest listed price is always shown first regardless of commission.
4. No relationship with merchants
PriceKenya is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an agent of any of the merchants whose listings we aggregate. Merchant trademarks, product names, and images are the property of their respective owners and are used here solely for the purpose of price comparison. All purchase transactions, delivery, warranties, refunds and after-sales support are between you and the merchant.
5. Alerts service
Price-drop alerts are provided on a best-effort basis. We fire the notification once the threshold you set is met, but we do not guarantee timeliness or delivery. If your alert email bounces or is filtered as spam by your provider, you may not receive it. You may unsubscribe from any alert using the link at the bottom of every alert email.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape or spider the site with automated tools at rates that could burden the service.
- Submit false email addresses, or submit alerts on behalf of people who have not consented.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer authentication, circumvent rate limits, or probe for vulnerabilities.
- Use the site or the alerts feature for any unlawful purpose under Kenyan law.
If you discover a security issue, please report it responsibly to [email protected] rather than disclosing it publicly.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy of prices, availability of stock, or fitness of any listed product for a particular purpose. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, PriceKenya shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising out of your use of the site, including but not limited to price mismatches, out-of-stock products, delivery disputes, counterfeit goods sold by a listed merchant, or missed alerts.
9. Privacy
Your personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the site or these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Kenya.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the home page. Your continued use of the site after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
